Baderulnizam Bin Kassim - PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
Having the
experience of hovering in space has always been one of Baderul’s
dreams. Unable to do it in the ‘outer space’ he’s currently
experiencing it while being in the ‘underwater space’ through scuba
diving. To his surprise it is even a better feeling, being able to
enjoy the beauty and diversity of the underwater nature at the same
time.
Being a sports
enthusiast, scuba diving has changed his perception and awareness of
the surrounding nature. He feels that it is important to instill
conservation awareness to the young children and such intention
could be promoted through scuba diving. Comfortable being with
children, Baderul is committed to share knowledge with them. Having
the privilege of staying in Japan, Baderul is also fluent in
Japanese Language and welcomes Japanese nationals to learn scuba
diving in Malaysia.
Thanks to
the support and guidance from Course Director Chong as well as IDC
Staff Instructor Andrew, Baderul is now a certified PADI Instructor
and determined to promote education in scuba diving. He believes
with his commitment, he could be able to lend a little to promote
conservation awareness.

Ravi Shankar - PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
It
is the first diving experiences that make or break the diver
as I believe. Thanks to the great instructors I had, I learnt
with professionalism and experience wonderful moments not only
underwater but through out the experience of getting my open
water certification. Since than, I have never looked back....
with the encouragement, support and sharing of knowledge, I
have ventured further into the underwater world of professional
diving. I am hoping to emulate the professionals I had for me
and to pass the knowledge, experience I gained is my goal by
becoming PADI instructor.

If
you were to ask me, “Where is the most beautiful place in the
world?” it would definitely be the ‘underwater world’! As you
dive into the water, a strange feeling strikes you. Fear and
loneliness make you feel lost in a vast blue world. The thought
of not being able to feel the ground on your feet makes you
feel so little and vulnerable.
But
as you push on further, you will soon discover a whole new world!
A world full of wonderful shapes and colours. As you watch the
busy water world around you, fear changes into warmth as you
swim with the fish. Loneliness fades as neon colours creatures
welcome you into their paradise.
I
started scuba diving in June 2002. The longer I dive, the deeper
I fall in love with diving and never stop my dive education
since then. I continued to be a dive master at 2005. I’m happy
to meet various people during my diving trip who have been great
friends. Special thanks to IDC Staff Instructor Andrew Lee who
has shown great dedication in his duties and excellent role-model.
It is through these people that I have found ‘Heaven on the
Earth’.
